We are seeking the face of Jesus, to be and become the Church that He desires.

Here is our statement of faith:

We believe in the triune Godhead, as revealed in Scripture. There is one God, expressed in three distinct persons: Father, Son & Holy Spirit. Each member carries out a specific function, while operating in communion with one another, thus existing as One Being. The Trinity is a mystery that has been revealed in Scripture.

We believe in the centrality of Christ, the preeminent Firstborn of all creation. He is the only Begotten Son of God and the One through Whom all that exists came into being. He is the Head of the church – His body – and He alone is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. He is the way, the truth and the life, and it is impossible to have relationship with God apart from knowing the Son. There exists no other name under heaven by which we can be saved.

As believers, we ultimately are called to know the Person of Jesus Christ and not simply give mental assent to religious doctrine. He is the full embodiment of truth, and to walk in the light is to have deep, abiding, intimate fellowship with Him. Knowledge puffs up, but the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge builds up the church of God in Christ.

We believe in the total depravity of humanity resulting from the fall of man. Scripture clearly teaches that sin came into the world through Adam’s disobedience. As the father of the human race, all of humanity was in Adam at the time of his transgression. Therefore, all sinned, and death spread to the whole of humanity. We further believe that Jesus Christ is the last Adam offering reconciliation and salvation to those who put their faith in Him alone. In so doing, we can be born again by the Spirit of God into a new covenant relationship, whereby the Holy Spirit comes to permanently live in us. In so doing, He shares with us the gift of His eternal Life.

We believe in the Scriptures, as given to us in the 66 books of the Christian Bible, to be the inspired written word of God. As was made clear by Christ, Himself, the Scriptures testify of Him. We believe that God still speaks to His church today, but in so doing, He will never violate the Word as revealed in Scripture.

We believe in a literal heaven from which God rules over creation. We believe in a literal hell – a place of eternal separation from God and torment for those who refuse to put their faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that God does not send anyone to hell against their will, but that by the choices made while alive on the earth, fallen man chooses a life that is separate from the will of God. In that way, those who have not been born again choose separation from Him, and if they remain unrepentant, will reap what they have sown.

We believe in eternity and that life in the temporal realm is merely preparation for the ages to come. At physical death, neither believer nor unbeliever is annihilated. The unbeliever will remain eternally separated from God, while the believer will be with the Lord in a never-ending,  ever-increasing fellowship.

We believe that Jesus Christ will return to the physical earth, establishing His earthly kingdom and authority and that His Bride will reign with Him in the ages to come. Though no one knows the exact hour of His coming, the Scriptures exhort us to be watchful and cooperative with the Holy Spirit as He seeks to make us ready for the coming of the Bridegroom.

We believe in two genders, as specified in Scripture. Both male and female were created in the image of God - two equal and unlike beings with two differing, but equally valuable inherent characteristics and therefore, differing but equally important functions within the natural realm. We also affirm the biblical definition of marriage – one man and one woman, and we hold fast to the Scriptures that point to this God established covenant as a type and shadow of the Lord’s desire for eternal intimacy with His bride.

We believe the full gospel message is completely revealed in the Person of Jesus Christ, as testified of in Scripture. As His followers, we believe that we have not merely been saved from something – i.e., sin, death and hell, but we are being saved for something – specifically an eternal relationship with God represented by the bridal paradigm in Scripture. God’s original purpose in creating man from the very beginning was to inhabit him by the life of His Son, through the Holy Spirit, thus sharing Himself with humanity in the most intimate way.
